Writing is for Everyone

The joy of writing is eternal.  Writers have taken up their quills, fountain pens, biros and now the keyboard with a desire to communicate, whether it be in the hopes of making a name for ourselves in the world of literature along with such greats as Chaucer, William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, the Bronte Sisters, J.K. Rowling, etc. or simply to enjoy the act of creating a unique piece of writing. 

Never before has the world of writing been so exciting and available to all.  The internet has opened up so many opportunities - it can be a platform from which to share our writing and reach vast audiences and it is also a huge vault of learning .... dictionary, thesaurus and encyclopedia all rolled into one.  It's always nice to have a bookcase full of books but the introduction of the e-book is an interesting concept.  No longer is writing  limited to a select number of individuals, depending on education and gender - it is available to all who have the desire to write.
