January 1st ~ My polished stones

These are my first entries for
International Small Stones Writing Month.
To find out how you can participate, follow the link at the end of my post.

Today I watched a wren bobbing about in the hedgerow.  Dear little wren, I'm glad you chose my garden.

One perfectly formed tiny nest, built from sheep's wool to keep the Springborn hatchlings cosy and warm.

  1. It's always such a delight to have a bird choose your garden! Wrens are lovely birds too,...

  2. Hi Juliet. Wrens are fantastic little birds and can sing surprisingly strong for the size of them. :)

The nest was one I saw when out walking. It belongs to a goldfinch.

  3. Respecting and praising the wren for choosing your garden....gorgeous thought! And loved the stone about the nest!

  4. Hello Miss Rain. :) I get a lot of pleasure from the wildlife in the garden, especially birds.

  5. interesting writing..
    keep it up.
